Wow! I started this blog almost two years ago... and then nothing! I am almost certain that I will say... "HEY! I want to keep up with this next year" and then... you guess it, nothing.
I really do want to try to keep this as updated as possible. So then, we start anew. Since I have been once again placed in 5th grade I have taken it upon myself to embark on a new challenge. The challenge of changing my classroom theme.
And the theme is:
HARRY POTTER/HOGWARTS!!!!
For the last year I have talked and talked about changing my theme to something else I love, and I've have finally decided to go for it. This one was easier than my technology theme as all I had to do is mossey onto Pinterest and search for "Harry Potter Theme" and instantly tons of pins popped up. With my technology theme, I created everything from scratch. Now, thanks to Pinterest and Teachers Pay Teachers, I won't have to. So thank you to the wonderful people and teachers on these sites that make life so much easier for the rest of us.
I am super excited to get this theme going, and will be posting pictures on the classroom tab soon!

First Post EVER!!!
I promise, I will try to keep this site as updated as a I possibly can!
School starts in about two days, and as crazy as my coworkers call me, I have been researching about my new theme for the upcoming year. My first year of teaching I didn't really have a theme. I kind of put things together and called it something. From there, the last two years my classroom has been a star theme (As I really love stars).
For this upcoming year I've decided to go into a whole different route. If you know me, then you know I am as nerdy as they come. I love everything technology!!! So this year my theme will be......... TECHNOLOGY!
As I've mentioned before, I have spent a big chunk of my summer researching for my new theme. As it turns out... there's not a whole lot out there that is pre-made. With the help of Pinterest (My educative addiction), and Teacherspayteachers.com I have found a lot of ideas from people like you. I've taken it up on myself to sit and create most of my decorations. I will be posting pictures very soon. They will also be up on teacherspayteachers.com soon.
I am really looking forward to this year! I wonder what new surprises will be coming up my way.

My name is Maria Vasquez and this is my very first attempt at a creative website design. I am a teacher, and going into my fourth year of teaching. I have been teaching second grade, but this year I'm going to 5th grade and I am beyond words excited! I am hispanic but I have been living in the USA for the last 18 years.
